It has taken 63 years for an Israeli Prime Minister to visit Cyprus.

However that drought ended on Thursday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the flight was only 45 minutes during his one day visit to the island.

This is a clear sign that both countries are trying to make up lost time in order to focus and collaborate  on the findings of gas reserves in their respective exclusive economic zones (EEZ).
