As you know Peter Christianson who first founded GREEKCITY has been entertaining the community now for 40 years.
To celebrate this we have invited Panos PSALTIS of ‘Anglie Mou’ fame to perform for us at the Emerald Suite in North London this Saturday. This will be the highlight of the year for me as I absolutely love this man’s voice.

The Grecian Kings will be the band playing and if you like good bouzouki, and I mean GOOD bouzouki then Harry K and Valentino are two of the best bouzouki players in London today.
It will be an opportunity to sit back and enjoy good music, good singing and dance the night away till 1a.m. and an extra opportunity for those of you who are thinking of hiring a band for your wedding or future event to check out The Grecian Kings band. VALENTINES WEEK
Many men would be thinking what all the fuss is about. He went out and bought you flowers and you are thinking that this is not enough. He tried to book a restaurant but was too late and couldn’t get a seat, so you are thinking he should have thought about it earlier. PAEDOPHILE JAILED
A 44 year old Nicosia man was jailed in Cyprus this week for 25 years for admitting indecently assaulting 2 young children aged 6 and 8 and a admitted to a further 11 assaults. Will this man, I wonder, ever be allowed to roam the streets of Nicosia again I doubt it. No assessment, no treatment just jail for a crime which cannot possibly be seen as anything else than a crime in Cyprus. In Britain he probably will be told he is ‘ill’ and needs help. Which of these is right? I know if I was the mother of one of these young girls I would count my lucky stars that I lived in Cyprus.
THAT FOOTBALL HANDSHAKE INCIDENT
What a bunch of spoilt children these blooming footballers are. Suarez & Evra should be put into a locked room and decide what really is important in this life other than their pride. I would give them a clip around the ear if I was their mother; get over yourselves, your only talent is kicking a football around nothing else, which really is an overpriced little boys’ game.
TAKING SOME TIME OFF
I am taking some time off in the next couple of weeks so I can take stock of my life. My life seems to be going so fast that I need to slow down and apart from spending more time for my family I will be spending time with my brother who will be over from Cyprus. I am exhausted, truly I am. I suspect there are many women like me who do everything for everyone and do not have time to even go to get their hair cut.
For instance my glasses were taken from an event I organised back in December and I need time to replace them: I firstly need to find time to go to the optician and have my eyes tested. It is a ridiculous situation that no-one has time to do anything anymore least of all to sort out being able to see properly!
So as it is my birthday this week I’m going to enjoy myself by going to Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall then the following evening I’m going to the Jazz Café to see Colin Blunstone and on Saturday and Sunday we will be having the pleasure of Panos Psaltis over in London singing at the Emerald Suite then on Sunday at Kalamaras so I think I have my hands full but at least its an enjoyable week.
So by the time you are reading this article I would have had a great week, a year older, but at least I would have had a good time. I will not be writing my column for a couple of weeks but please do keep your emails coming as I have my computer set up at home just so I can keep up with everyone. See you all soon.
